Title: Silicon Realms Releases SoftwarePassport v9.00a for Windows

We wanted to let you know that an update to our recent SoftwarePassport v9.00 release is now available. The current version is v9.00a, and it includes fixes for the following issues:

  • A project with its protections set to "CopyMem-II + Debug-Blocker" (under Project -> Protection Options -> Code Defenses) would switch to "Standard protection only" when reopened.
  • On the Other tab for certificates, if the developer used a very long value for an environment string, settings on the left side of the tab would be hidden.

The Silicon Realms Toolworks Team

Title: Silicon Realms Releases SoftwarePassport v9.00 for Windows

The Silicon Realms Toolworks announces the immediate availability of SoftwarePassport v9.00 for Windows. For this update, we created an all-new SoftwarePassport interface that replaces the previous SoftwarePassport and Armadillo Classic ones. The Armadillo engine still handles protections, but it no longer has its own separate interface. Combining the interfaces allows us to focus our efforts on providing the best user experience, since we no longer have to maintain two separate but very similar products.

The new version is backwards compatible with your existing projects. Options may have been relocated, but their functionality remains the same as in previous versions.

To see where options in the previous Armadillo Classic interface have moved in the new version, and to find more information on the enhancements and bug fixes in this release, please refer to the revision history in the help file ("SoftwarePassport Help"). The help file is included in the SoftwarePassport installation, and available for downloading separately at http://www.siliconrealms.com/download/HelpFiles.zip.

If you have questions about this release, please contact our support staff at support@siliconrealms.com.

Title: Silicon Realms Releases SoftwarePassport/Armadillo v9.00 Beta-1

We would like you to know that Beta-1 of SoftwarePassport v9.00 is now available.

To see where options in the previous Armadillo Classic interface have moved in the new version, please refer to the following information.

------------------

The Armadillo Classic option is listed first, followed by the new location.

Other notable changes from previous versions:

* Previous versions would show the default HTML code for editable HTML messages such as the Show-Before Reminder. This version does not show the code. It simply shows "Use Default Message" in the editing window, until you enter your own code there. If you would like to see some examples of how to set up HTML messages, please note that they are included in the SoftwarePassport installation, at SoftwarePassport>Examples>HTML.

Beta Testing
--------------------------

You can download the beta here:

http://www.siliconrealms.com/armadillo.php

The beta can be registered with a valid v8.x SoftwarePassport/Armadillo key.

Please note that language editing is not yet complete, so you can skip testing that area of the product for this beta.

There is a beta thread in our public forums at http://forum.siliconrealms.com/index.php?showtopic=5597. Please use that forum thread to ask questions and post feedback about the beta.

As with all beta versions, we will not make custom builds available until we post the final release version. In the meantime, a test build will be available for downloading via the custom build download page at http://www.siliconrealms.com/cbds/cbds.php. This test build provides the advanced features of a custom build.

We do not recommend releasing software with beta versions of SoftwarePassport.

Please let us know if you have any questions, or run into any problems with this beta version.
